Tikkurila Optiva Primer is an acrylic, water-based primer for use on new plaster and previously painted interior walls and ceilings.
Optiva Primer reduces absorption and provides a good key for subsequent paint topcoats.
Suitable for new and old surfaces, plaster, previously painted surfaces and alkyd coatings.
Using Tikkurila Optiva Primer
Tikkurila Optiva Primer is a premium water-based primer with strong opacity. Unlike other paints, when mist coating (priming) new plaster, no dilution is required, Optiva Primer is immediately ready.
Optiva Primer, is fast drying, delivers a high opacity durable finish which can be sanded if required before topcoats.
How To Apply Optiva Primer
Brush - Use a sizeable brush such as a 3"
Roller - Use a medium pile roller on a decorators roller pole, either a 9" or 12".
Airless Paint Spraying - We recommend either a 515, 519 or 619 spray tip.
Pro-Tips - Stir thoroughly, there is no need to dilute Optiva Primer.
